This collaboration can be seen in the processes applied by teams and between peers throughout the company. It enhances the traditional management model instead of challenging it (clashing with negative effects that distort the hierarchical model). It is based on a work environment that is more demanding (in terms of goodwill, confidence and responsibility) than “command & control” mechanisms. Its assimilation into the company culture indicates a higher level of organizational maturity.

Collaboration develops when stakeholders succeed in:

  • facilitating cooperation (enhancing knowledge acquisition, improving coordination, onboarding/fostering mutual assistance, making progress with others, etc.) through the use of tools,
  • rallying around cooperation goals by demonstrating leadership skills and empowering each person in his or her missions,
  • adopting it as a managerial and organizational model. Its progress is inevitably slow (in regards to the company’s performance assessments) and is based on practical application.

Some companies or company teams have already undertaken this extensive process. Others are falling behind, though they will be able to catch up by investing more. For 10 years, we have been conducting this research in order to provide food for thought and better serve our clients. Sharing our work allows us to meet women and men who, like us, are motivated by this conviction that organizations can progress through digital means. Together, we have completed projects that were as exciting as they were complex. This wealth has enabled Lecko to develop and continue to invest. These guides are useful materials when questioning one’s own level of progress. This new volume complements and encompasses the insights from the previous editions in order to provide you with a 360° view.
